Yamcha is a character from the Dragon Ball franchise, first appearing in the original Dragon Ball manga and anime series.
Initially introduced as a desert bandit, Yamcha was an antagonist to Goku and Bulma, driven by a fear of women and a desire to overcome his shyness. Along with his feline companion Puar, he frequently attempted to rob them of their capsules.
Over time, Yamcha transitioned into an ally, training alongside Goku under Master Roshi and participating in various tournaments. While he initially proved to be a formidable fighter, his power level eventually plateaued, and he became less relevant in combat as the series progressed into Dragon Ball Z.
